BAM is honored with a plaque for support in community forest development and preservation from the Royal Forest Department on the 2023 Community Forest National Day
Mrs. Wipasiri Sangvacharakul, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Commercial Asset Management Public Company Limited or BAM, the company’s representative, was presented with an honorary plaque as a private sector partner who contributes to the public sector’s forest conservation from Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment during the “2023 Community Forest National Day” on May 24, 2023, in the Diamond Hall at the Asia Airport Hotel, Pathum Thani Province.
This recognition demonstrates BAM's commitment to giving importance to the environment by supporting community reforesting which is part of the “Care The Wild” project in collaboration with the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and the Royal Forest Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Community forest development is an important approach for conservation, restoration, management, maintenance and utilization of natural resources, the environment, and biodiversity with balance and sustainability by means of community reforestation. This is to enable the community to manage and maintain natural resources, the environment, and biodiversity where they live and for the country to be abundant and sustainable.
In addition, BAM is aware of the impact of business operations on the environment. Operations are controlled in accordance with environmental standards set by law. Also, various projects have been developed to help reduce the use of resources and reduce waste by reusing waste or garbage that has been produced to achieve maximum efficiency. In terms of energy, the company manages it by the application of renewable energy or clean energy. Also, water consumption is reduced by consuming water after treatment. The company advocates the country's policy to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and will continue to be a part that helps drive the sustainable development within the organization and the country in order to create awareness of environmental conservation in society.
